About Library

           Bharatiya Mahavidyalaya, Morshi was established in 1970 at Morshi which is surrounded by hilly area and dense forest of Satpuda range. The college was established by eminent members of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, Amravati who themselves were prominent educationists taking into consideration the needs of the students in nearby rural areas. The pioneering members who established this college were Late Shri. Annasaheb Vaidya, Late Shri. Shridharpant alias Nanasaheb Chinchamatatpure, Late Shri. D.N. Alias Babanraoji Metkar, Late Dr. Ganeshprasad Purohit, Late Shri. Namdeoraoji Bele, late Shri. T. D. Vasant and their colleagues.

           A college is considered as an academic institution of higher learning offering three-year degree courses and two year PG coursese in college, the library occupies a prominent position and it is an important and integral part of the teaching programme. It is not merely a depository of books, but an active workshop instrument in the production of or original thinking. The aim of college education and college libraries in inter-related. College library extends opportunities for self study and reading to the deserving and enthusiastic students without any distinction. These libraries develop in each student a sense of responsibility in the pursuit of knowledge. College library stimulates the students to obtain, evaluate and recognize knowledge and to familiarize themselves with the trends of knowledge for further education and learning new disciplines. The library plays an important role in the present education system. A well-equipped and well-managed library is the foundation of modern educational structure. It is the responsibility of the library to collect, preserve, organize and disseminate all kinds of reading materials for the purpose of profound use by the readers of an educational institution to which it is concerned. The library is a mirror that reflects the culture and activity of the educational institution and it measures up the standards of the institution. Therefore, the library is said to be the heart of the educational institution.

           Our college library is functioning in a separate building and possesses all modern facilities, which fulfills the need of the students in the latest developments in different areas of study. The library is also equipped with Library Software , Barcode, M-OPAC, Internet browsing centre, digital library with educational CDs, e-Books, e-Journals, reading room for and the teachers, reference section, back volumes section, career corner, online public access catalogue and UGC-Inflibnet e-resources. Student and teacher are enrolled in the National Digital library. The Library has a facebook page called BMV & Knowledge Resource Centre Morshi. It shares college and library activity photo and notices.

Aim & Objective of Library:

                      A Library attached or associated with a college and used by teacher, students and staff of the college is known as college library. The objective of library are :

1. It helps in all educational ind instructional programs of the college.

2. It enhances the understanding of different subjects or disciplines among the students.

3. It assist the research works and lay down the initiative base for research work in students.

4. It inform the teacher with latest up-dates in their respective subject area.

5. It provide healthy entertainment material to its user.
